There will be 4 indoor markets (at the Fairgrounds) before Christmas. Fresh veggies will soon be a little less abundant....come join us at the market.
Ginger Meyette, Social Work Professor at Luther College, has a voice that reminded some of Judy Collins...and that lovely voice sang all the wonderful old folk songs from times past...the kind that many of us at the market could sing along with and gather up long forgotten memories around campfires. Thank you Ginger for a most perfect morning at the market on the first Saturday in September. Thank you also for staying and singing even as we were packing up...!
Impact Coffee Bar now offers fresh hot coffee, or for hot days, Nitro cold-pressed coffee at our market. Their debut at the market was on Saturday September 3rd. You may have visited The Coffee Bar, located at 118 Washington Street in Decorah, that is owned by Jeff (pictured below) and Anja Brown. Not only do they offer the coffee, but to get the best possible flavor they also import and roast their own beans -- and if you happen not to be a coffee connoisseur, smoothies and teas are also available. If that weren't enough to do, if you have some photos or paintings that need a frame, be sure to stop by because their framing shop, The Perfect Edge, is located at the rear of the coffee bar. The Coffee Bar is busy even while the market is open, so Norma Jean and Daryl Bosma (pictured) will be serving the delightful beverages at the market.
Becky and Michael offer produce from Tom Wunderlich's Big Woods Orchard in Mabel, Minnesota. Featured are Zestar apples that are crisp and juicy - great for eating fresh or cooking and baking, pies. They offer free samples, ask for a slice and get that wake-up flavor going.

It was a cloudy day after the much needed rain all day Friday, but Michelle Lynn certainly knew how to brighten the market on Saturday the 29th with her sunny tunes from her guitar and voice that drifted to all ends of the market.
